KOTA BARU: PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat will seek clarification from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on the statement by DAP national chairman Karpal Singh that Anwar was not fit to lead the Pakatan Rakyat.
"I do not want to comment on the matter and I want to ask Datuk Seri Anwar what is the truth," he told reporters after attending a Chinese New Year function late Sunday.
Karpal Singh at a news conference on Sunday had called on Anwar to quit as PR leader as his actions of encouraging party-hopping was "immoral" and tarnished the image of Pakatan. Nik Abdul Aziz, who is Kelantan Mentri Besar, said the matter had to be clarified by Anwar himself.
